We're finally did some work on our own house. There was an ancient deck there when we moved in and it was sketchy. I put in a bunch of bracing that made it less sketchy.

Finished this kitchen in March.... Except the fridge. It should come in August and I'll go install the panels to match the cabinets.

The customer did the deck (excellent work) and asked me to do the stairs and railings. We also poured the concrete pad. These little fast jobs are a ton of fun in the spring.

I'm way behind on posting, so apologies on my end for the burst of posts.

This was a leaking shower into a kitchen ceiling, that's been a bit of a theme lately. This one which was finished a couple of weeks ago and two more in progress.

This was a really cool and quick remodel of a fireplace accent wall. Deleted some windows to make room for a bigger TV and the tile was replaced with stone. Completed in November 23'

Kitchen project going on right now, countertops come next Tuesday. 🤞

Not too shabby for a Saturday framing a roof without any plan in place before you walk on job. Helping out a friend of a friend of a friend.

Long hot day but we got it done.

Got back at it today on the current deck job. I've been getting a ton of practice cutting stairs on this one. Four separate stair runs with four stringers each.

1.) We don't buy precut stringers, we do the math and make every step the same height.

As promised we got the lower landing built and the four stringers set on Monday.

I had to take off early for a Dr appt so the concrete pad had to wait until Tuesday morning for the approach stairs on the upper level.

We're chugging right along at this sweet deck we're working on. Upper section was a total redo.

Upper section is ready for deck boards, we'll be pouring six more piers and a concrete pad in the morning after a visit from our local inspector.

Did the tear off on a new deck rehab today. It's a total redo, were going to change the direction the joists run and extend the upper deck 4'.

#1: cutting stair stringers with 2x10s instead of 2x12s. Hmmm....I also like to live dangerously.

A couple more days and this deck will wrapped up. It's a good thing we are in deck mode because we have two following this one.

We used a new nail gun on this one for the deck fasteners, it installs hidden fasteners and a 'scrail' in one shot. It

Here's a 944 Sq Ft deck (upper deck included) that we are updating with TimberTech Coastline Gray.

The deck was originally built on 24" centers, we needed to be at 16" OC or less. So instead of moving everything we closed in the joist poc

So the three season room is done. Final inspection passed this morning. We started this in late fall, built the structure and got it dried in.

This spring we knocked out all of the trim and staining, plus two custom windows in the gable.

My oldest son got a chance to come out and watch a lumber delivery before school the other day.
